What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website or a service it uses can store on your device. Some are essential for something to work. Others are used for things like analytics or advertising.
Cookies on this website
This website does not set any cookies of its own, and it does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking. I last checked on 27 October 2026. Because of this, I do not show a cookie banner.
The contact form does use a third-party spam-protection service called hCaptcha. When you start filling in the form, your browser connects to hCaptcha, which can set the cookie below on its own domain.
- __cf_bm (set on hcaptcha.com by hCaptcha’s security provider, Cloudflare). Purpose: tells people from automated bots, to stop form spam. Lasts about 30 minutes. Type: third-party, used for security.
This cookie is only used to keep the form secure. It is not used for advertising or to build a profile of you. It is only set when you use the contact form. You can block it in your browser settings. If you do, the form’s spam check may not work and you can email info@garethdesign.co.uk instead.
Managing cookies
You can delete cookies or stop them being set from your browser settings. The ICO has plain-English guidance at https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/.
If this changes
If I add anything that uses non-essential cookies, such as analytics, I will ask for your consent first and update this page.
